Services
BrightStart ChildCare & Education (BrightStart ChildCare) aims to provide a high standard of early years childcare and education in accordance with current legislation, regulations and our policies and procedures. We deal fairly with all children and provide a warm friendly environment, supervised by fully qualified and experienced staff.
Our key person system ensures a smooth transition from home to school and nursery to other settings, including primary schools. Initially when assessing children, we take account of each child's interests/needs from their families and other establishments. Our staff will assess your child's progress against developmental milestones after observing their overall achievements.
Children under two years old are among the most vulnerable children being looked after. They need extra care and support to provide for their needs. This is best achieved where registered persons have a good understanding of the needs of very young children. Staff working with babies and toddlers have suitable training and experience in caring for such young children.
The Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) is a childcare framework that all childcare establishments in the country must follow. Children develop quickly in the early years therefore our Early Year Practitioners aim to do all they can to help children have the best possible start in life.
We implement and promote the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS 2021) through a wide range of activities that promote children's interests and needs, taking into account the statutory educational programmes for the 7 areas of learning. The nursery has a small outdoor area which surrounds the building and is easily accessible.
