The key aim of Diversity Yoga is to bring the health benefits and mindful approach of yoga to the wider population of the UK.
After several years of a dedicated yoga practice, I am fitter, healthier, happier and generally in far better shape than I have been for years. It inspired me so much that I decided to take a yoga teacher training course so that I could share my joy with others. I continued to study, and now hold a Master's level Yoga Therapy Diploma and am recognised as a senior yoga teacher.
Live yoga classes continue with social distancing measures in place. We look forward to welcoming you back on the mat!. You will also find free access to discovery calls with Cathy here. If you use a multi-class pass, a credit will automatically be deducted for every class you book. Confirmation of your space will come via an email or text message after booking.
As the health benefits of yoga become increasingly popular, new ways of applying this ancient practice to our modern lives are developing all the time. Although using yoga for healing the body and mind is certainly not new, the application of yoga as a specific healing practice to sit alongside modern medicine is a relatively recent development.

I have been going to Cathys begginers class in Lightwater since the start of July. I have back and neck issues and also wanted to improve my flexibility. Being able to enjoy the outdoor space at the Country Park is beautiful and this morning Cathy was able to tailor the session, focusing on these areas of my back which I could tell had improved my posture by the end. Cathys method of teaching is easy to follow and she has given me ways to enjoy Yoga at home. I would encourage any beginners to join up as my knowledge of Yoga was very limited, but I feel I have learnt so much in this short space

My Husband and I have been attending Cathy's yoga class for about the last 18 months we have both hugely benefited from our yoga practice, my husband suffers from arthritis in his knees and hips and I suffer from Polymyalgia, Cathy is very knowledgeable a fantastic yoga teacher and a lovely lady I would highly recommend her.

Really enjoyed 'The Yoga Retreat' held on Sunday 28 April, at Oakley Hall Hotel. I felt indulged,pampered and relaxed by the end of the day, which was in part due to the delicious food provided by the hotel (plenty of variety for lunch and the day ended with tea and delicious cakes!), but mostly due to Cathy of course.
She gave us the benefit of both active yoga in the morning, and deep stretching in the afternoon (which I particularly enjoyed), followed by a session of relaxation and guided meditation. Cathy took time to make sure everyone was in the most comfortable position for them, and was

I always seem to turn up to Yoga aching and tired after breaking my body through the week with exercise. Cathy has a natural talent for fixing me physically and mentally. I always walk out of her yoga sessions feeling like a different person. I love her calming approach and the vibe of the class is serene.

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon at Cathy's Yin Yoga class. Cathy is a great teacher and is very knowledgeable so I felt very relaxed and confident to try the Yin poses. She walks around making sure everyone is ok and will adjust you if needed. I would highly recommend a yoga class with Cathy.
Last nights Yin class was so good -here is the email I sent Cathy...
"I just wanted email you to say my back feels so good after last nights yoga breathe - My lower back was very stiff all day yesterday and I was slightly apprehensive about coming - I am so glad I did as it feels so much

Having taken up yoga only recently to help with stress and anxiety issues I can honestly say it has helped immensely. Cathy is such a skilled and adaptable instructor and really takes your needs into account when designing the sessions. You do feel a little self conscious when you start but Cathy is great at reassuring you and helping you out - everything is delivered with your needs in mind. Cathy is also flexible and I have so enjoyed the ad-hoc outdoor sessions which give a different soothing perspective to yoga. I can't recommend Cathy and Diversity Yoga enough, whether you're a beginner like

I have been working with Cathy in either classes or 1-1 sessions for over a year now. I struggled with sciatica, and a general tightness in my lower back. I then had a micro-discectomy in July 2018 and have come back to yoga this year. Cathy's focused classes have really helped with my flexibility, control and core strength.
I'd really recommend Cathy - she listens, and she specifically tailors exercises to me given my back restrictions and that gives me comfort that I'm in safe hands.

I have attended Cathy's yoga sessions for nearly a year and I just love them. I cannot recommend Cathy' instruction, her advice and support highly enough. I went on a day yoga retreat yesterday and I came away feeling so exhilarated and on top of the world as well as learning so much more about different techniques including breathing and postures to help IBS and acid reflux. Cathy is a true inspiration and an amazing teacher!!!!

The yoga course specifically for back pain was absolutely amazing! I love Cathy's teaching style which is so helpful and has given me the confidence to start practicing yoga at home. After the 6 week course my back and hip pain has almost completely gone and I know what I need to do to ensure it doesn't come back. I would highly recommend yoga with Cathy and I've already signed up to do more classes with her.

Cathy has helped me discover yoga! I have lordosis and had shoulder surgery a couple of years ago and was still experiencing some restricted movement and pain. Cathy has worked with this, always checking in with what I can do & if I am making sure I am not experiencing any pain. After just 6 weeks my movement and strength are already better - next I hope to master my balance! Cathy holds a great space and has a great positive energy - I leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated - exactly what is needed when life is so hectic!

I've been practicing yoga on and off for several years now and find massive benefit in terms of physical & mental wellbeing. I absolutely love Cathy's yoga classes. I am a latecomer to this but glad I didn't leave it any longer. I love how my body can do so much more than I thought it could, that slowly I am becoming more flexible, my knees are less troublesome. Cathy explains each pose in detail, is encouraging, will guide you to do more than you thought you could and yet teaches you how far you can go. Highly recommended and couldn't wait to start again after the Christmas break.

Cathy has done an amazing job of helping my bad back and shoulders. After our first 1:1 I could feel the difference. The pain in my upper arms appears to have gone and my shoulders have so much more mobility. The weekly yoga classes have also been hugely beneficial. I cannot recommend Cathy’s expertise and knowledge enough. Thank you Cathy x
