Services
All materials i.e. doors, skirtings, architraves, door furniture are matched to existing (where possible). All our staircases are manufactured by a specialist company using computerised machinery so as to achieve identical match to existing stair parts. Normally UPVC fascias & soffits are used externally so future decoration is not required (more expensive than wood but cheaper for you in the long term).
Our service begins from the moment you call our office; at this stage you will be asked a few simple questions about your house in order for us to ascertain if your loft is suitable for conversion / extension. An appointment will then be made for one of our surveying directors to visit you and discuss your requirements in a FREE feasibility survey.
Is my loft high enough to have a loft conversion? As a general rule your loft needs to be a minimum of 2.2M measured from the points shown (click for diagram), however, at G & M our expert design & build team may be able to find a solution even if your loft is slightly less than this. Do I need planning permission?

I was always told that ' loft conversions were a messy job and the house will be covered in thick dust and are you sure you got the right builders' etc. Well.... I have been blown away with professionalism of this company, from the very beginning at the quote stage I felt very comfortable with the service and advice. The fact they deal with everything from the drawings to the final outcome. Whilst the work was being done I found it was a pleasure to have the team Rodger,Tom and Sash in my home treating myself and the family with respect at all times and always being helpful and friendly, also not

When we started looking into having a loft conversion, we were overwhelmed with all the different things we were told, however, you explained everything to us, no question was too silly, you sat down with us, went through the different stages, and left us in no doubt what was happening and when, you even took away the headache of dealing with the local authority. From day one we were told who was on site and what was happening on a day to day basis.

Really happy that we chose G&M for our loft conversion. From the outset Bill was very helpful in providing sketches which not all companies wanted to do. When work started progress was very quick. We had regular contact with David managing the project. All went incredibly smoothly, a big relief as ive never had building work done before. Tom and his team were extremely hard working, tidied up every day, and were always cheerful, same with electrical work and the plastering. The end result is above our expectations, the workmanship is top quality. Everybody comments on our loft about what a nice
