If the head height of the loft is above 2.3m, then there is a good chance that we will be able to convert your loft. Head height means a measurement from the top of your ceiling joist to the tallest point in your loft.
Most of the time you will not need planning permission for your loft conversion, the work could be carried out under permitted development rights, this information should be on the property deeds, or available through your local planning department. Before a loft conversion can start, you must have an architect draw plans of the loft, a structural engineer's calculations and building control application.

The family in Colchester, Essex contacted Steve Wright & Daughter after being told their house wasn't suitable for a loft conversion because of lack of head height. Not to be defeated, Steve Wright & Daughter provided a solution by creating a dropped landing to provide building regulation height and made their dream come true!

Don't bother!
They will never call you back.
Never return your emails.
Never be interested in your project.
I would say waste your time as well but that would involve them communicating somehow.
I really do not know how these people make a living.
I was told they were awful customer care but thought I'd give them a go, oh dear.

Called for a quote and an appointment was booked. Lovely chap came to quote for loft conversion and I was happy with the price. Unfortunately after no less than 3 calls to chase the written quote it never materialised. I asked for an email and a written copy. Never saw a thing, gave up calling. Real shame.

Living next door to one of there jobs I allowed them to put the scaffolding on our property (never got a thank u From Steve Wright ) not once came to clear there mess. They spilt cement on our sand stone paving when I complained he said he would call and see us never turned up.once again more cement I had to clear up. Went on holiday more mess only cleared up after I got angry.the job was for 10 weeks scaffolding should have been down in 8 weeks no it was there for 18 weeks again no thank you or apology to us they are the builders from hell. Feel very sorry for my neighbors having a job drag on
