Tilehurst and Theale cricket clubs merged in the 90's to form Theale & Tilehurst Cricket Club, the good news is that we have all the scorecards since this merger, the bad news is we don't have them all online as of yet! Here you will find all our scorecards and stats since the 2017 season. Keen an eye out though, as we will be uploading all our scorecards slowly but surely!
We are a traditional village cricket club, based just outside of Reading, whose aim is to provide enjoyable cricket for players of all ages and abilities. We play to win but also to have fun, and there is a very strong social scene around the club throughout the year. Our club is located in the heart of the village in Theale and we are a very active part of village life both in Theale and in Tilehurst.
Theale and Tilehurst CC run an active and vibrant Youth Section with teams ranging from Under 9's up to Under 17's. Our aim is to provide a safe and fun environment for children to enjoy cricket and develop their skills. All sessions are run by qualified coaches with an emphasis on enjoyment, participation and development with each child improving and progressing each week.
Just like the All Stars programme, Dynamos cricket is an ECB programme designed as an introduction to cricket for boys and girls aged between 8 to 11. Sessions begin with a 5-10 minute warm-up to get the children moving and recapping on gross motor skills and basic ball handling.

The sessions continue with skill builders for 15 minutes, providing everything children need to play, particularly focusing on bowling, which can be the make-or-break element of any game of cricket! The session finishes with a game of countdown cricket that will take 30-45 minutes and give everyone a chance to participate in all elements of the game - batting, bowling and fielding.
Each year, Theale & Tilehurst host a Kwik Cricket Festival where over 200 children from 15 schools participate for the Kwik Cricket trophy. A fun packed day, with both girls and boys competing for the right to be called the Kwik Cricket champions. If you represent a school and would like to participate, please get in touch, the tournament is ever expanding and we have no doubt the children at your school would love to be a part of it.
