Our social facilities are open to members and non members alike, with the club boasting one of the most picturesque 'beer gardens' around! The bar is open when there is cricket on (so most days in the Summer), so why not pop up and pay us a visit. Boasting some of the finest playing facilities in the area, everyone who does something at the Club is a volunteer - one of the things that make the club the place that it is.
Nick Holt, a dear friend to the Village, Club and many of us, would be celebrating his 60th birthday in early September. We have the finest playing and social conditions in South Oxfordshire. With a thriving youth section (club marque accredited) three senior Saturday and two midweek league teams we welcome committed cricketers of all ages and abilities.

Whilst we still have a bit of work to do on the logistics of training nights, we're now able to confirm the timings for each of the groups. All training youth training will take place on Friday nights, with a few tweaks to the times from last year to allow us to manage the flow of people better and keep all of our players, families and volunteers safe.
With the announcement on Monday we are hopeful that we will be able to start the season on time, and kick this off with outdoor training in early April. Alongside this we will again be entering 2 teams in the Wednesday night T20 Downs League, Div1 and Div4, with Ross Packham and Mike Konschel the captains.
WEED There are obvious exceptions, but the general rule is that exceptional sportsmen have an edge to their character. A quality needed that sets them apart from the nice guys. This rule of thumb is especially true. At last I bring you a reflection on an interview with Mike Hannaby- the new 3rd XI captain at Challow, taken prior to the season.
A period of uncovered and often unprepared wickets saw unprecedented success over this period. With 4 or 5 top club cricketers playing alongside some enthusiastic, competitive players, results were sensational. So much so that many so-called top clubs locally refused our invitation for games. A couple deigning to offer their 2nd team up for a ritual sacrifice duly obliged!
