Services
The purpose of these appointments is for patients who have genuine difficulty leaving work during the week to have more opportunity to see a doctor routinely in a 15 minute consultation. Patients will need to pre-book these appointments in advance. Patients requiring urgent appointments or home visits during these hours will still be required to contact the out of hours' service by telephoning 111.
All doctors provide general medical services, maternity, minor surgery and contraception services. Contraception services include: coils (Dr Brotherton); contraceptive implants (Dr Webb and Dr Brotherton). The practice offers a telephone triage service for same day appointments between the hours of 8 to 11am, Monday to Friday.
We store all our patients' medical records on our practice computer system (SystmOne). The NHS is committed to developing electronic patient records (EPRs) so health information can be shared between the clinicians responsible for your care. We are responsible for the accuracy and safe-keeping of your medical record.
If you have a concern or complaint, please contact the Surgery and ask to speak to the Practice Manager or Assistant Practice Manager. Most issues can be resolved by communicating with the Practice management team who will listen to your concerns and try their best to address them. If you feel it may be better to make a written complaint you can write to us about it.
Other healthcare professionals may have access to your medical records, where they have a clinical reason for doing so. All healthcare professionals and practice staff are subject to a confidentiality agreement. Your informed written consent must be obtained by the practice before your medical records or copies are made available to any outside agency.
