Each year Tripadvisor comb through reviews, rating, and saves from Travellers everywhere, and use that info to award the very best. We have once again been blown away by winning GOLD, this time for South West Holiday Park of the Year 2018. After a record year in which the region's tourism awards schemes attracted 647 entries, the 2018awards have been of such a high standard.
Oak Mead Golf was planned from the very start as a family attraction and opened for all to enjoy in Summer 2003. The course is a 9 hole par 3 and 748 yards long. We now have a Green Keeper - Jason - who takes great pride in the course. Since taking him on, the comments and feedback have been fantastic and we have had some great reviews on Trip Advisor.

Our Cherry Grove, Hazel Grove and Oakgrove (Ground Level) lodges are finished to the highest standard, with modern fixtures and fittings throughout. Just left here after 3 peaceful days. Its handily placed for a bus into Sidmouth or Lyme Regis and one thing to definitely do is the 20 minute walk from site to the excellent donkey sanctuary. Really nice site, and pitches are big and nicely spaced out. Facilities are mega clean 👌 and modern. It's even got a dog wash

A wonderful camp site, great for family camping. Helpful, friendly staff, a great shop on site with amazing ice-cream, essential camp food and drink etc is available too. The tent pitches have astro turf which is very useful and stops the groundsheet getting dirty, it also prevents the grass underneath turning to mud during the summer season! The electric hook ups are reliable, plenty of picnic tables by the pitches for family use.
The shower block and laundry facilities are excellent, very good warm showers, great washing up room with a freezer and microwave oven available for campers to use

We stayed here for the first time on pitch 8 for 3 days and hands down, best site we've ever stayed at. The site was beautifully maintained by the welcoming and friendly staff, amenities were so clean, the on site cafe was amazing and we went there everyday! Try the bacon, bree and cranberry toastie if you can 😋 Overall a fantastic site and I cannot wait to stay here again!!

Had a great bank holiday weekend…the site is spotless and very safe.. had fabulous amenities.. great shop and cafe on site.. not too far from the beach at sidmouth and exmouth.. the weather was absolutely… gorgeous which helped.. the pitch sizes are large and I loved the fake grass underneath our tent pitch.. our friends had a caravan and we’re equally happy with the site, and other friends stayed in one of the pods.. we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.. if I was to add a little negative comment it would be the road noise, but after the first night you do get used to it, but

I'm so surprised that this place has such a high rating! It is right next to a main road where cars go fast. At times, If a lorry goes past, you can feel some shaking as it trundles past. We are tent campers so have no soundproofing at all. I am not usually a light sleeper either! If we were placed on the other side of the field, it might be better but you can still hear traffic noise. I asked to be moved somewhere else but they were fully booked and I was told that if I had looked on the map, I would've seen that it was situated on a main road! Who does that?! I chose it based on the number of
