We're a team of experienced guitar teachers offering high-quality guitar lessons throughout the Chester area. We can visit you or you can visit us. The Academy teachers are based in Chester, North Wales, Kelsall and Wirral. We currently have over 100 hard-rocking and acoustic-plucking members (we're the most successful independent guitar teachers in Cheshire).

Today there are 9 teachers on our team that work together to develop our students, but originally the Academy was founded by Mike Kennedy and his teaching approach is still a fundamental part of what we do. Mike is in his late-thirties now, but for most of his twenties he was in a rock band called 'The Mags'.

There are currently 9 guitar teachers on our team and we teach over a hundred people per week. Academy students gain access to our Facebook Group which means you can connect with other guitarists in the Chester area. Magical things happen when you connect with like-minded people. So get involved!
We run regular workshops where our members can meet and chat, jam together, share knowledge, try other types of guitar and generally discuss music and guitar playing with like-minded souls.We also run gigging/open-mic sessions and jam nights for our students who want to perform live.

There are currently 9 guitar teachers on our team. We're like-minded music teachers who love playing the guitar and share similar beliefs about the gift of music. We're excellent at what we do and together we have a combined total of over 200 years' experience in playing and teaching guitar. I have been teaching since I was 19.
