More Artisan Bakery
Completely and totally taste driven. More? The Artisan bakery provide a "real" alternative to the fast processed quick fix food widely available elsewhere. Ten years ago Patrick had a dream that the kind of food he cooked whilst rattling the pans in his former life as a chef, could be made more accessible for all.

Today at More Bakery we produce handmade, artisan treats for some of the Lake District's finest eateries and everyday foodies who pass through our doors at the Mill Yard Cafe and shop. Authentic stonebaked sourdough pizzas cooked to order and available to pick up from our bakery in Staveley.
Services
We are known for our fabulous bread but there is so much more to More? From Sweet treats to perfect pies, warming soups to summer salads we offer something for all tastes, ages and appetites. Whether you choose to eat in or takeaway, we want to make your food stop a special experience and a meal to remember.
Bread is the last baffling bastion of food jiggery pokery: When you think about it our Sourdough breads contain nothing more than flour, water and a little salt. It makes you wonder why some mass-manufactured products contain up to 16 baffling ingredients to produce something so simple. Our bread is a feast for all the senses.
Our sourdough experts use a three-day fermentation process to guarantee that our pizza bases are as tasty as possible. In fact, we're confident that the More? Dough bases are the most chewy, tangy and crisp that you'll find anywhere. We chose the name More? Dough because we've pushed the fermentation to the max to produce these delicious bases, which we top with the most appetising and fresh ingredients we can find.
Our sweets are continuously evolving and developing. Our philosophy is simple: a treat should leave you elated and happy in the knowledge that the extra calories were worth the pleasure. Our heavenly range includes our hero products such as the Muddee - voted best brownie in the country several times over, and winning many awards and accolades such as supreme champion at the Great Taste Awards.
A tempting selection of meats and vegetarian specialities encased in all butter pastry. Our sausage roll range includes a diverse selection from traditional to gourmet: Cumberland sausage and apple; sausage and black pudding; lamb merguez; chorizo and belly pork are just a few of the favourites among the regulars to Staveley.

Tasty tofu burger. However at £9 plus £4.10 for a mocha I think it's low on value.

Discovered this little gem by accident. We had home made soup, Halloumi and chilli jam sandwich , this is one of the best sandwiches we have had for a long time. All freshly made and full of taste. And then onto cakes ..... amazing, all washed down with good coffee. Will definitely be returning

The sandwiches were delicious and the outside, undercover seating welcome in these Covid times.

Coffee is great. Although I was annoyed it was at best only warm. When I asked to get it hotter she suggested making another and I don’t like waste so I declined. The ladies toilet also had some issues. Doesn’t flush, No hook to hang your coat or bag and the seat did not fit the loo. Small issues and easily fixed. The bakery and bread are amazing and it’s still worth a visit.

Can here for a quick bite for breakfast.
Ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich, had a quite a long wait for it to be made, and for what it was, I found the sandwich to expensive.
When we got them, they were quite small but it did taste nice.

Partly our fault for not checking out the photos more closely but we stopped by for a coffee because we love Ozone (the beans they use). Unfortunately they’re takeaway only so the drinks came in paper cups.
We grabbed some food too, where I ordered one of the chef’s specials. It was very oily and possibly a little too experimental!
The food took forever to come too.

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. We had the SFC sandwich and Halloumi and sweet chilli sandwich. Huge queue to get in, sandwich menu only available at the counter and I panicked and picked those two. We only came for a sourdough loaf. Worth the visit, great bread.

This place has friendly staff and great food.
For the last 20 years I've thought that the best chocolate brownie came from Wilf's cafe in Staveley. I now know that I was wrong. Their brownies are the best I've ever had, anywhere!
I've just spent the past week working in Mill Yard and going to More? everyday for lunch.
I can't recommend this place or it's brownies enough.

Visited after shopping at the Inov-8 store, after messaging prior to visiting to ask if they had vegan options which they confirmed they did. Vegan options include vegan feta wrap or salad, sausage roll, porridge pot, avocado on toast, cake, flapjack and oat milk. We had two vegan feta wraps with two teas with oat milk. The wraps were scrumptious, loads of filling, with chunks of vegan feta, made with lovely fresh ingredients. We loved it and will definitely revisit in the future and make sure we have room for cake next time, the chocolate and raspberry cake looked so tempting. As we were leaving
