Good cocktails, poor food, overstretched staff. Our table was nice and we were seated promptly, but this is where things started to go downhill. Staff individually were efficient and friendly, but it was clear that they were extremely short staffed and everyone was in a rush. Drinks took a while but were well made when they did come. Food was the real weak point. Starters were bland and plain. The main course took over an hour to arrive, was highly overcooked and poor in quality. A real shame.

What a great venue in the village. They had a couple of faults but the food and the atmosphere more than made up for it. Instead of 3 stars, which I would have given for the reason below it saved it to 4. The food is very good and the menu is extensive and caters for vegetarians with a separate menu. On the downside they run out of bread and a certain beer, plus turning up 20mins before the reservation we were asked to leave and come back at the right time..... why not allow us to wait at the bar. So overall a good experience.

A grand restaurant - delicate food, good service, a little bit pricey.
We came for a brunch. Ordered a main each, a drink and a side to share. The food was amazing and the service was great (the waitress came to check whether everything alright a couple of time and we never left waiting). The bill was on the pricey end, as one course with a drink came £28 per person.
Recommend to come for a good occasion!

Had a great time with my family for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Table was well-prepared in advance of the time of our booking. The wine list and menu offered great variety. The food presentation and quality of food were superb. Whilst the prices were not cheap the quality made everything worth the price.
