We began life with the humble but brilliant VW T25 (or T3 as die-hard fans insist it should be called) Westfalia campervan, which offer a great balance between classic looks and modern practicality. But while T25s are wonderful, they aren't for everyone, so a few years back we started moving toward more modern, refined and dependable T5 camper vans as well.
We Started our London campervan hire business back in 2009, with a stock of retro VW T25 campervans. Quickly, though, we found that while some people love the quirks that come with renting a modern classic, still others were searching for a more premium experience, with a campervan that drives like and car, is super-reliable and has all the mod-cons that anyone could want.
Finished in metallic silver with contrasting black roof and 20 wheels, Silvester is all about bringing a modern touch to classic charms. Eberspacher night heater - D2 airtronic 2.2kw, to keep you warm on chilly nights - no need to run the engine. Power management system with split charger, providing 12v power to charge phones etc, and double 240v power points when on hookup.
Carl is a high-end, high-spec Caravelle campervan but with on-the-road-seating for seven adults, he is also a bit of a party bus! Inside you'll find leather throughout, together with a flexible seating arrangement, a full-width double bed and a sliding table. Being somewhat of a minimal campervan, Carl's cooking equipment is portable, meaning London Campers' guests can choose to cook inside or out.
We've been offering retro VW campervan rentals in London since 2009 and we love these special machines today as much as we did then. The average VW T25 lovingly referred to within enthusiast circles as the 'brick', is now over 30 years old and, day-by-day, they become ever rarer.

We hired the green van for a week in Wales and it was fantastic - came clean and in good working order with everything we needed and some lovely extra touches, including a really handy device at the front which we could link our phones to, use google maps and play our music etc. Rob was super friendly and on hand via phone/text for any issues (like when we forgot how to switch the fridge on), the whole process of hiring was straight forward and we will definitely hire again!

I could not recommend London campers enough. The booking process from start to finish was seamless, Rob even arranged for us to view the different campervan models before booking. The campervan was spotless and had absolutely everything you would need. Rob was accommodating with timings and quick to answer any questions. I cannot wait to hire again and would without hesitation recommend.

Used London Campers for a long Weekend to the South Downs and loved every minute.
The service and support from Rob and Pete was great from start to finish, got drop off and pickup for the camper too which was really convenient. The van itself was felt very modern and was very comfortable and cosy for 2 of us and the dog who made himself right at home.
We'd been thinking about buying a camper for a while so this was the ideal way of dipping our toes in the water to see how we got and we had so much fun. It's a really great way to travel and holiday even if you can't guarantee the UK weather.

Very happy with Blueberry van, it's quite well used with signs of wear, but nice and clean and drives very smooth and it has all necessary things for camping: stove, fridge, sink, comfortable mattress, plenty of storage, hookup cable. We didn't use barbecue and chairs as Lake District in October is very wet, but otherwise enjoyed a little camping holiday

To social distance while taking a break we thought of hiring a camper van and London Campers where super helpful and the van was in great condition. Good driving and good facilities. B and B/camping holiday plans changed various times due to C-19, finally hired the silver T-5 camper van, first time users. Loved the van and had an awesome trip touring the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Had to be very flexible with the route as several of the campsites we hoped to stay at were closed due to C-19, others only acccepoted motor homes that had self-container bathroom facilities and lots of visit attractions were shut. However the van provided good mobility and we also used it to sleep in for several nights. For a family of four with older teenagers it was a bit snug for all four

We hired their trustworthy T25 Westy "Vic" for a 4 day road trip to North Devon and part of Cornwall and can't recommend it enough! Obviously is a classic van, so can't expect it to be smooth and speedy as their modern counterparts, but it is a joy to drive!
The interior is all original but it's in excellent state for its age.
Rob was super helpful and will definitely hire back with them (if I don't buy my own T25 before)
A completely hassle free experience and totally recommend it!!

Rob was very helpful throughout the entire rental period. It was all last minute due to someone else cancelling on us and Rob arranged the rental as fast as he could which was great, including sorting out our insurance as the third party we had booked it through couldn’t arrange it. Lenny the van is equipped with crockery, fridge, cooker, sat nav… and music system so all you need really. It is spacious inside and the double beds in the roof and downstairs were comfy to sleep in. Lenny is not the youngest of vans anymore with a few loose screws in the interior and some interesting cabling

Hired "Lenny" over Easter weekend! Lenny was perfect for our needs; low key, reliable and efficient. Admittedly, we initially had some issues with the radiator gauge (sensor was funny) and the radio however Rob was readily available and extremely helpful in resolving our issues promptly.
Pick up and drop off was easy, contract signing and correspondence speedy. Will definitely hire again.

Hired a camper over xmas , we went out on road trip around europe , it all went well , camper was in good condition and drove well . Made it back without any problems , will hire again soon , and also rob has been very helpfull throughout the hire . Had a hell of a laugh really good trip , all made possible by rob and everyone at london campers .
