At our school and children's centre, children are given opportunities to gain a variety of experiences to become independent and confident learners in a safe, spacious, enabling environment supported by skilled and experienced practitioners.

Services
Holmewood 'Infants' School was built in 1958 and operated until 1982 when a change of use was established, covering the site to a Nursery School for up to 126 children. This gave us a fantastic site, with 3 buildings and 2 large outdoor spaces. There is also the School House at the entrance to the site.
Our federated governing body is made up of volunteers from Maytree, Homewood, Triangle, Effra and Ethelred communities. Members include parents, staff and people in the community and local authority who are interested and want to help us develop to meets the needs of children and families in the community.
There are a range of policies and procedures we follow in the centre to ensure your child's safety and well-being including accidents, medicines, fire drill procedure and security. We monitor our provision and ensure that our policies are current and reflect the changing landscape of early years education both locally and nationally.
As an integrated centre we have a multi-disciplinary team with staff from different professional backgrounds. In our Nursery School we have specialists in early education for children from Birth to 5 years, which we feel provides a strong foundation for all of our work.

We offer high quality inclusive education for 140 children, through exciting learning opportunities for young children with highly qualified, experienced and caring staff; teachers, early years educators and teaching assistants. Children who are 2, 3 and 4 years old play together across the setting.

Holmewood nursery has been a great improvement on my sons confidence and development. The key worker ( educators) have a great understanding on his needs and development. Anushka and her team always keeps us updated on his daily activities and communicating between nursery and us is always excellent. It has been a happy and safe environment for our son.

This nursery is outstanding and I can’t thank them enough for everything. They really help children to meet their targets and always find ways to support them if they find something difficult. The head teacher is amazing and always makes time for parents. Both of my children love to go nursery and are always very excited when we are arriving
