Services
As well as fitting all the electrical and electronic systems to this boat Kilworth Marine Services provided professional support and advice on many other parts of the boat. We were able to use our knowledge of boatbuilding techniques to fit platforms and panels to support the solar panels and electrical panels and during the work we were able to identify faults in the boats structure that could be remedied by the owner before they set sail.
Energy Solutions have used Kilworth Marine as a trusted installer and contractor for over 10 years. In that time we have parachuted them into service and installation jobs in the UK, Europe and beyond. On every occasion they have done an excellent job. When working away from home you need people who can work in a structured, organised way and feed-back precise information and requests.
Sometimes it is necessary to produce a custom panel for a particular vessel. We have produced custom panels in engraved plastic (Trafolite), stainless steel, aluminium, brass and even bronze. We managed to source the original switches and fit them in such a way as they look like they are part of the original panel.
Kilworth Marine Services have provided service and support for both RFA Fort class Auxiliary Oiler and Replenishment (AOR) vessels Fort George and Fort Victoria. This included regular maintenance, programmed services and emergency failure call outs and repairs. Until the commissioning of the new Queen Elizabeth class of aircraft carriers the AORs are the largest ships manned by Royal Naval Personnel.
When this Super Yacht came out of a major re-fit the bridge wing control panels were not fit for purpose, many of the controls did not work and they were an ergonomic disaster. Kilworth Marine Services had worked for the owner on his previous vessel and was contacted due to our willingness to tackle any problem.
