We are continuing to use the Telephone Triage system, as we have found this allows us to treat a larger number of patients and offer more services. Using the triage system, we can ensure that each patient is treated by the most appropriate Clinician for their condition, and where necessary a face-to-face appointment will be given.
There is a NATIONAL shortage of Blood bottles in the UK. Therefore, we need to cancel all routine blood tests and only book those patients that are Urgent or Clinically required. Patients often ask why a prescription takes time to issue. Surely it is a matter of just printing it off and signing it!

Services
Lesley Driscoll, Adele Emerson, Wendy Green, and Jackie Bullivant are highly trained nurses who have undergone advanced education, prescribing and clinical training. They can assess and treat most minor illness and can prescribe appropriate medication. They provide an alternative to seeing a doctor if you need to be seen urgently.
Brook Health Centre and Silverstone surgery will be closed for essential staff training from 12.30pm on the dates below. If you require medical attention or advice before we reopen on the following day please call 111 for the Out of Hours service. We apologise for any inconvenience. If you require urgent medical advice, phone 111 and you will automatically be transferred to the free NHS 111 Service.
These are now being carried out on various days at the Brook Health Centre, depending on vaccine supply. Invites will come to you via text, phone call or occasionally by letter. If you feel you should have been invited and have not yet had your vaccination, please call the surgery. We immunise against infectious diseases which can cause death and disability.
Our practice is inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure we are meeting essential standards of quality and safety. This widget provides a summary of the results of the latest checks carried out by the CQC. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates all health and adult social care services in England, including those provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies or voluntary organisation.
Having your Summary Care Record (SCR) available will help anyone treating you without your full medical record. They will have access to information about any medication you may be taking and any drugs that you have a recorded allergy or sensitivity to. Of course if you do not want your medical records to be available in this way then you will need to let us know so that we can update your record.

Long standing out of area patients being summarily "dumped" without warning (was told over 100 had had the same letter). The letter claims it's because of Health Authority policy but I checked with NHS England and it's the Practice's decision. Practice Manager is "busy" and isn't returning calls. Senior partner won't take calls. Not exactly the caring, compassionate "support" a patient with heart problems needs! All the more galling because the medical care is superb. If you can hang on to it!

No duty of care!
I was suppose to get a phone call from the "manager" - still waiting after 2 days. After ringing the receptionist shrugged me off saying:If the manager says she'll call you, she will! "Well obviously not. Also nurse got my blood test day wrong, won't be seeing those again. The so called doctor didn't do their research and got the information wrong, so have to wait for another 3 months to get through to Northampton hospital now!!! To be fair NHS has been messing me around for years now, so that place doesn't surprise me the slightest. You pay your taxes for s*it service!!! Makes

My Father-in-law had been having hearing difficulty for several weeks and none of the home remedies or over the counter treatments recommended by his GP had worked. It had left him feeling frustrated and isolated.
He was given a referral to the Brook Health Centre by his GP so we took him there one rainy morning. We were seen promptly and the nurse was friendly, chatty and compassionate. By compassionate I mean that she knew that there was a balance between completely clearing my Father-in-law's ears and the discomfort that the procedure can cause but offered to see him again if he was still having
