Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre
Situated on the main A666 road between Manchester and Bolton, Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre was established in 1993 when the owner of the existing livery yard decided to start a riding school. We are always happy to see new faces (and old friends) and you are welcome to visit our yard. We know sometimes the urge to see, touch, talk to and yes, even smell a pony, is overwhelming so even if you're not riding feel free to visit us, feed the ducks, chat to others on the yard, have a coffee and enjoy yourself.
Services
Ryders Farm is a family run business, established by 25 years ago by Sarah Fitton, a BHS Stage 5 performance coach in Complete Horsemanship. We are a BHS approved Riding School and Livery Yard, an Official Pony Club Centre and approved by the Local Authority. We specialise in riding lessons for all ages and abilities, encouraging people to enjoy the sport of riding and love horses as we do.
At Ryders we provide a range of lessons for all abilities and ages 4+. We offer both group and private lessons, with our qualified instructors. Our riders constantly progress and develeop their ability, making full use of our excellent facilties allow us to concentrate on the fun and enjoyment of horse riding, as well as challenging the more advanced rider.
We offer professional training to exam standard up to BHS Stage 3 & 4 Coach in Complete Horsemanship. We are the base for the Equine Studies Unit at Salford City College. These courses are an excellent foundation for a career in the equine industry. You will need to have a genuine interest in horses, with some practical knowledge of horse care preferable along with some riding ability.
We offer all types of Livery packages on our friendly Livery yard with our wondeful team of staff dedicated to caring for your horse. We are welcome to new horses all year round, our stable blocks are built to ensure that your horses are always comfortable and well sheltered from the elements. Our happy liveries enjoy giving their stable the 'personal' touch with personalisation, door signs and even painting their stable to their preference.

I’ve tried couple of horse riding schools around Greater Manchester are and this one is by far the best. Very well run, they have a great online system for booking classes as well as instructor notes from each class to make sure you’re constantly advancing. They also have a good quality horses suitable for all levels. Reasonably priced and really good quality in return.

Excellent Horseriding school... years ago I attended another locally well know riding school in which I was very disappointed, was to nervous to ride again after such a bad experience. Years later my daughter wants to start riding, I found Ryders farm, she had a taster session and fell in love with riding, she joined a group lesson and was loving every minute. I was getting my confidence back just watching and ended up joining in. 2 years later we are still loving every single lesson we have, group and private. All instructors and yard staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, a fantastic riders

I have a daughter who goes there to ride. And since the first time she went there she improved a lot. She also loves Pony Camp because she can meet her friends and have activites, ride and dress up the ponies.
