Services
Etta & Clare set up Jackrabbits in 2014, the first "paint your own" pottery cafe in Leeds. Jackrabbits quickly became a favourite with children and adults alike. Whether in a big family group at a weekend, for a couple's romantic afternoon, an excitable birthday party or a self-indulgent few hours of peace & quiet, people come back again and again.
The cost varies depending on which piece of pottery you choose. We have a selection of over 130 pieces ranging from 7 to 44, so there really is something for everyone! Our prices include the pottery, instruction, paint & tools, glazing and firing. The admission fee for booking a table is redeemed against the pottery your group choose to paint.
Painting pottery is a treat, and you can make it a special one by indulging in some of our studio cafe food and drink choices. We choose ethical suppliers wherever possible. Good food and drink should taste good, and feel great too so we choose a significant proportion of Fair Trade and Organic produce.
We live and work here in Oakwood, a busy, friendly community on the southern corner of Roundhay Park, Leeds. The area has a rich history, from the pre-historic settlements across the road in Gipton Wood to the world's first scheduled air service that ran from Roundhay Park!
There are a wide range of shops, cafes, tailors, hair salons & beauticians, the Post Office, the chip shop, pubs, bars and restaurants - almost all of them proud independents that are run by the people that own them.We also have a thriving Farmers' Market once a month, regular craft fairs, and a range of seasonal events that take place around Oakwood Clock.

Our children's parties are rightly famous, with kids coming back year after year to our studio in Leeds. Whether it is your child's birthday, their first day at school, or a celebration for the results of their last exam, a party at Jackrabbits gives them a chance to create something more than just memories.

My family and I visited Jack Rabbits to get some family prints done as our newest addition was only 3 weeks old. We arrived late due to the traffic and it being close to Xmas. We couldn’t have been better… looked after, nothing was too much trouble. 3 members of the team came to help with our order, 1 disappeared to make coffees, 1 got straight on with our prints and the other got our order forms written up. The attention to detail to what our needs were was second to none. We’ve already booked to come back!! Thank you guys ❤️

We descended on Jackrabbits today 5 new mothers each equipped with a 4 month old babies and we had a comfortable and wonderful experience. The staff were so incredibly patient and helpful as we had a conveyor belt of babies, footprints and baubles, lots of laughter with a cup of coffee and cake to go with it. Having been nervous (as any new mum is)… bringing my baby along jackrabbits was a safe and comfortable space to have a natter, get creative and make memories! After a fantastic day we are incredibly excited to pick the baubles up next week ready for Christmas having had such a lovely

At first i wasnt looking forward to going as i was anxious and simply lacked talent when it came to painting. welcomed by incredibly friendly staff who helped ease my anxiety by giving me the time and space to make choices. Speaking of choice there is alot of it with a catalogue provided to begin with most of the avalible pottery, most being the key word as theirs even more not listed but avalible on the shelves.
During our painting session we ordered cakes and drinks which were both really nice.
Throughout our visit we were supported by the friendly staff who would provide us with any resources

It saddens me to write this as we are so supportive of small businesses but it’s incredibly disappointing of how I was spoken too in a condescending manner, repeated told they were calm (why wouldn’t they be?? It’s there business) and took fun out of my deafness when I couldn’t hear them (despite informing them and of my mental health due to Covid)… they would not credit me to another day at all despite government guidance to give a refund if requested. I don’t expect a business to be a mental health practitioner but zero compassion during these really difficult

Fun place to go, takes a week to get back the pottery you paint
Spent over an hour there deciding what to pick and then what I'm actually going to paint
Paints look super pastel but become vivid and bright once it's been glazed and in the kiln
Attached pictures of my box I painted
It cost £16 for the item itself and use of all the paints and tools
Haven't tried the food but they do offer hot drinks and cakes
They have a wide range of items though all at different price points
It would be a good place to go with children
I'm planning on taking my younger brother

I don't know where to start, theres a very long list of things I want to say about my surprise visit to Jackrabbits today.
The instant we walked in the door, it felt like we had walked into a friends house, the welcome was warm and genuine, there is just a bloody happy vibe .
We were briefed on how to get started (in between my shrieks of giddiness) and shown to a table. Theres a huge selection of pots to choose from, all sizes, all types of items bursting with potential creativity. There are books and examples to get you inspired.
Not only did we have everything we could want at our finger

Superb environment, friendly and helpful staff. Never done this type of thing and for the experience I felt it was reasonably priced. Definitely due to return again to make personalised Christmas gifts. When you do visit, and I recommend you do, be sure to try Sarah's treacle cupcake with lemon butter cream - OUTSTANDING!!
