Groombridge Farm Shop wants to bring back a time when we knew where the food on our plate was from. We grow a lot of our produce on the farm, and we work with a collection of local businesses and manufacturers in Kent and Sussex. We've been a farm shop for 12 years. A farm for longer. Groombridge Farm Shop is passionate about enabling the people of Kent to dine on the very best of farm fresh Kent produce.
We offer an ethical alternative to mass-consumerism: supermarkets with questionable global supply chains, surplus plastic packaging, and ingredients lists packed with preservatives. We champion local produce; from our own farm, from neighbouring farms and from many local businesses. Local provenance gives us freshness, traceability and sustainability; all vitally important issues that our customers are rightly concerned with.

Services
It was asparagus that inspired us, 25 years ago, to sell our produce directly to local people. We now grow 12 acres on our Tunbridge Wells sand, and take fresh asparagus to local farmers markets, farm shops and into London. Asparagus is what we are known for in the local area, and asparagus season, April to June, remains our busiest time of year.
The Romans brought asparagus to us from the Eastern Mediterranean. We love tradition and 2,000 years on we started growing green asparagus in Groombridge in 1991. Our Tunbridge Wells sand has proven ideal for the crop; hungry land that drains freely. Our rotation includes grassland for a stud farm, which in turn provides us with rich manure.

Just moved a 5min drive from this place yesterday and picked up our Christmas tree, it’s so lovely! Sitting in our living room now feeling christmassy! It’s also by chance I was planning on going to the store “cook” after I collected my Christmas tree to get some frozen food but groomsbridge farm shop also sold it there aswell!
