Adair & Neely Funeral Directors in Derry/Londonderry can trace their roots back over 200 years in funeral services. William Adair started the firm in the 1890's. After his son Jim joined him, the name William Adair & Son was established. Jim's sons Alan and Billy continued in the family tradition until Billy passed away in 1986, and Alan retired in 1989.
Arranging a funeral can feel daunting, particularly if is something you haven't had to do before. Here at Adair & Neely Funeral Directors we understand what a difficult time this is and it is our main aim to help and guide you. Funerals are incredibly personal so everything will be built around your needs.
We can help to plan religious and non-religious funeral services and serve many different faiths. We have our own service venue on-site. Our experienced and caring team will advise and support you at every stage of the funeral planning process, with a wide range of options and transparent pricing. Our Derry/Londonderry funeral home is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Cremations are a less popular form of funeral in Northern Ireland as there is only one Crematorium in the country. Most people will want a ceremony at the crematorium - using their onsite service room - but you can also hold the service in a church, funeral home service room or other venue of your choice prior or after the cremation.
Funeral services can be as formal or informal as you would like - and it's entirely up to you as to how religious the service is depending on your beliefs and the wishes of your loved one. Adair & Neely Funeral Directors can organise the funeral and a burial at your chosen cemetery, graveyard or burial ground and purchase a grave on your behalf where necessary.
