This museum is a unique experience for all the family, containing one of the country's finest collections of Romany Vardo's (gypsy caravans & carts) and Wardesko kola (harness) etc. Visitors are greeted in the theatre room with a DVD with a talk from Gordon Boswell on the Romany Way of Life, along with the history of most of the vardos on display.
There is also a unique collection of Romany photographs mainly of the Boswell family and sketches spanning the last 150 years. The Museum is open from Easter through to the end of September. We are open to the general public Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays between 11am & 4pm. The Museum is all under cover with disabled access.

What a wonderful few hours ( extending beyond closing time) we spent not only looking at the wonderful exhibits but putting the world to rights with the delightful Mrs Boswells and her equally delightful and artistically talented daughter. Thankyou for sharing your cultural heritage and knowledge with us s.what a gem you have

My Family went to the Museum when Gordon was alive it was a pleasure to meet him I am pleased the Museum has continued.I look forward to going again as its part of my Heritage and Culture. If you're not descended from Romany people it's well worth a visit the Biswell Family are very friendly and the Exhibits are in Excellent condition.
