We stayed at the cottage in August 2021 as a family of 3. We had our bikes so made good use of the safe storage and explored beautiful Kielder Water. The cottage is in a super location on the main road through the forest, but don't let that put you off - the house has a secure gate so children are safe in the front garden, and can't access the road from the back garden unless they go through the house. The cottage is beautifully decorated and styled. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. There was a great selection of board games. The 'extra' fridge was particularly useful for our food

Kielder cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay - we settled into our week very quickly and would have loved a few more days.. The deck was perfect for stargazing and sunsoaking (weather permitting). Kath and Ken provided clear instructions & good local info and I'm sure would have been quick to resolve any problems had any arisen. Thanks for a brilliant week!

We’ve just got back from a great weeks stay at Kielder Cottage. The cottage is lovely and well equipped with everything you needed for a family of four. The views from the cottage are stunning and we loved watching the wild deer whilst eating our breakfast. Our children and dog loved exploring the area and we’ll definitely be back one day.

We stayed here for a week right after lockdown ended and it was wonderful! The owners are very friendly, communicative and helpful and the house itself is lovely. It's a great place to explore the trails around Kielder water from, and also the dark skies were amazing. Our personal highlight was watching Ospreys fish over the reservoir from the comfort of the cottage's back garden. A great week and we would love to return soon!
