Oulton Primary School
Everyone is special at Oulton and talents are discovered and nurtured. An enthusiasm for learning is encouraged through an exciting and relevant curriculum. In our school, learning is about trying your best and having a go; making mistakes and learning from them. Children are taught that it's right and safe to question; to "think for yourself" and do the right thing.

Our mission is to empower our children to be safe, happy, resilient and well-rounded learners: this is at the core of everything we do. We know that being part of the Oulton family has a positive impact on our children's lives, securing their sense of safety and happiness at school, and building upon their self-confidence.
Services
Oulton Primary is a recently refurbished school that boasts an attractive spacious working environment. It includes a room for Extended Services, sensory room, pastoral base, multiple intervention rooms, spacious library, breakfast club area, purpose-built classrooms and a large sports hall. At playtime the children have access to large playgrounds with adventure playgrounds for both KS1 and KS2.
For any enquiries about Oulton Primary School please use the contact details below. If you are a parent/carer with a child starting school in the next school year, you can arrange a visit by contacting the school office. We've created a video of our fantastic day with Y6 at Oulton Fest & uploaded it to our Facebook page.
When walking around the classes, I am still inspired by the positive feel of the school; our pupils are settled, engaged and eager to share what they have been learning. Every day, it is a joy to see our motto, 'Thinking for ourselves, caring for each other', being fully embraced by all members of our school community.
School governors are volunteers who help to run the school. Most schools work with a group of school governors - together they're called the 'governing board'. They're involved in decisions about all aspects of managing the school - such as running buildings and budgets, supporting staff and setting standards of school discipline.
At Oulton Primary School, we focus on the needs of each child and aim where possible to personalise learning for all. We are proud to be an inclusive school where everyone is valued and their strengths are recognised. Our school provides a broad and balanced curriculum for all our children and we ensure that the Special Educational Needs of children are identified, assessed and provisioned to the best of our ability.

Formerly inadequate, Oulton Primary School has quickly reached a "good" ofsted standard and you get a clear impression that it is working hard to maintin this level.
Academically very aspirational, the teachers recommend at least three books to read per week for a Reception year pupil. I'm told Year One is even more focused on Academic performance of children, with spelling tests and even more books. As a creative family we wish there was more focus on other important aspects and skills in life: practical, artistic and musical. Saying that my boy is really happy, he loves his teachers and goes

My daughter went to this school for a short time and all I can say is what a terrible experience. After been above her academic targets at the school shed previously attended from being nursery age oulton decided she was behind in most subjects and that she needed extra lessons in order for them to get extra funding for a child that didn't need it. Teachers thinks it's acceptable to say to new children comments like did u even go to school before you came here and say it was only in jest and I found that certain teachers are cruel to children if they don't like them. The staff turn around was exceptionally
