Are you looking for excellent and friendly care for one of your elderly relatives? Running since 1991, we have over 25 years of professional care experience for elderly people who need that extra bit of love and attention. Wingates Residential Home is welcoming and provides excellent care to older people.
We take into consideration the health and care needs, as well as the individual lifestyle preferences of our residents. A personal care plan for every resident, with input from the resident or resident's family, tailors the care and support that we provide. As this was the first time my father had gone into residential care, the family were obviously anxious and worried he would be OK.

Mum has been living at Wingates Residential Home for just over a year now. She had been managing at home in Bolton for 3 years after dad died, and at 90 years old decided she needed to be in residential care. We tried one place which was not so good, she became dehydrated and finished up very ill in hospital. When she came out in January 2018 she moved into Wingates. They look after her really well, monitoring her fluids and taking good care of her. She stayed in her room initially, and they did not push her, they let her integrate in her own time. Now she goes to the dining room for her meals

My mum has been in this care home for about a year and we have found the home and the staff to be wonderful. There is lots of attention to detail about the care and attention to the residents. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and my mum is very happy there. The home is continually being modified and improved and each resident feels that they have their own space. Any medical issues are dealt with efficiently and family are kept informed. They take all the stress off the family and the home has been an excellent choice for my mum and all our family.Thank you to the owner and all the staff

It's home from home for
Elderly Residents.....
Not fancy....but comfortable
Nice staff creating a nice atmosphere in the main....
But they're under constant stress & are often "expected" to do extra shifts ...
I've known some work a 12 hr day for minimum wage
That said...the Residents seem happy...clean & comfortable & well fed. Sometimes thing go unoticed
Like missing teeth, hearing aids & glasses... FOR DAYS
Many residents suffer dementia...
If they can neither hear, see or eat properly it's a sad existence.
