Founded in 2013, The Hearing Lab Group is made up of three registered companies The Hearing Lab Ltd, Audiology Advantage Ltd and Earworks Ltd. It provides audiological services to the public through Liverpool Hearing Centre, and audiological training and products to medical and health professionals via various brands.
Your hearing is individual to you and you will have your own preference when it comes to hearing aids. With over a thousand different types of digital hearing aids currently on the market, choosing the right hearing aid can be a daunting process. Visiting a good audiologist will make the process simple and straightforward.
Hearing aid models come and go due to the fast pace of technology but at any point in time there about 400 different types so it's not difficult to understand why getting to grips with what's right for you can be confusing. The fact that there are so many hearing aids is a good thing because it means that there is a hearing aid that is exactly right for you.
Unfortunately, we seem to live in a world where the price of anything is negotiable and we never seem to know what the real price should be. We are attracted to discounts and offers but are they genuine? Or are we just paying the price we should be anyway? We believe that medical devices should not be sold in this manner.
Most hearing aids come with either a standard 2 or 5 year warranty. If you're only offered a 2 year warranty then an extension up to 5 years can normally be purchased on request at the time of purchase. Hearing aid warranties usually can be extended to five years at a cost of around 150 per aid. Whether you buy with a 2 or 5 year hearing aid warranty the cost is usually built into the price of the hearing aid.

I attended Paul's micro wax suction course in September, held at Starkey Labs. I am disappointed in the quality of the training. It felt disorganised and could have been completed in a shorter amount of time. I would have liked to have had more clients and the clients whom we were going to practice our wax removal technique on, to have been screened beforehand to ensure they were suitable.
