Andrew Friel Hearing Services provides a range of hearing services that can be carried out in our Lancashire-based clinics or from the comfort of your own home. Our core services are: Hearing Tests, Wax Removal and Hearing Aids (including a FREE 60 day hearing aid trial). We also carry out hearing aid repairs.
Do you require a hearing test? Currently 1 in 6 people have a degree of Hearing loss, that's 10 million people in the UK alone. A Hearing Assessment is straight forward and for many patients, a domiciliary visit is the easiest way to obtain a hearing test. Andrew is a trained clinician giving clients a high level of service normally associated with a fixed clinic.
Could safe and effective wax removal be the answer to your hearing problems? Ear wax or "Cerumen", is normal. Its presence is in the canal is healthy, as it helps to protect the ear. Occasionally as wax migrates from ear canal it can cause a blockage, preventing sound from travelling down the ear canal to the eardrum.

Outstanding service and very professional. Shows before and after, some might not want to see it, but hearing is almost 100% better than it was. Very noticeable difference and feels clean too. You might not notice you have earwax, but if you're on nhs and your doctor says you have a major build-up of wax. Seriously consider paying for a professional service with mr Andrew, you won't regret it.

FANTASTIC!! Omg where do i start! First off im 27yr old and came to Andrew after someone at work recommended him as i woken up completely deaf in my left ear from a build up of ASSUMED wax. Went to my GP who basically looked inside, said it was blocked and to use oil drops to clear the build up... Did this for one week and no change at all!
Finally i get to Andrew and after inspecting my ears and using his safe vacuum technique rather than dangerously shooting water down my ear he NOTICES A FOREIGN OBJECT.
He only goes and pulls out a yellow plastic BB GUN PELLET i got stuck down there playing

I found Mr Friel’s website through Google after searching for ear wax removal.
I had enquiried about an appointment for my son to have ear wax removed. To my surprise I was offered a next day evening appointment, of which was really helpful as my son works till late.
On attending, we where made to feel welcome by Mr friels wife and felt totally at ease.
It was explained in depth what the exact procedure was for wax removal and what costs would be incurred.
The whole process was efficient, professional and painless! And very good value for money.
We would have no hesitation in recommending

My sincere thanks to Andrew for responding to my request for help with my faulty hearing aids whilst visiting friends in the area. Fantastic service, without his assistant my holiday would have proved frustrating not only for myself but for my hosts too. So very much appreciated, he was certainly "my star' of the day.
