The pros: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The location is in easy walking distance to the town of Portreath and the coastal path. The lodge was quiet and warm. The activities are very good. The cons: the term "luxury" didn't really apply to the lodge we were in (#1). The furnishings are fine and comfortable, everything seemed sanitary, but the lodge itself needs a refresh. The carpet on the stairs is dirty, the foyer and the sofa smelled like dog, the refrigerator tips out if you aren't careful, the dishwasher doesn't clean properly (ended

Highly recommend staying here. There was everything you can think of in the lodge. Staff very helpful and friendly. Welcome pack includes wine, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk. Activities on site are brilliant. Absolutely faultless stay. The surrounding area is also beautiful with a lovely local pub- Portreath arms. Very spacious rooms, bathroom and kitchen fully equipped. The lodges are spread out so you don't feel like you are imposing on your neighbours. Spectacularly clean inside the lodge and excellently maintained grounds.

Very peaceful setting, nicely modernised interior has everything you need for a few nights away.
Comfortable bedding and clean only 2 things disturbed the peace: boiler kicks in and is rather loud, enough to wake me up 4 times in the night perhaps on a longer stay one may become accustomed to the sound and the golf resort appears to mow their lawns every 2 days and can go on for quite some time.
Friendly staff and available to assist we'll definitely visit again

If i could give 10 stars i would. What a wonderful experience here. The accommodation was lovely and well thought out. It was immaculately clean with some nice touches as we walked in, pint of milk in the fridge a selection of wines and tea and coffee etc. The on site restaurant provided delivery to chalets as well as dining out. The food was always delivered hot and well before the time they had said, it was always delicious too. The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much bother, extremely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We have an autistic son and we were a little apprehensive

Lovely lodge had everything you need- very expensive though for what you get. Nearly 1500 for 4 nights and then spent two days being told by their base camp it wasnt included for the kids. 8.50 a child for entry. Swimming pool average at best. No clue what the other activities were as no information in the lodge. Website is not clear.
Lovely staff at reception though - new management so may get better.
Nowhere near 5 star resort - they need to up their game to match what they claim - 5 stars. No clear strategy - lots of bits on offer but needs to be better put across.

Lovely location, stayed in the lakeside signature lodges and it was peaceful and the view across the lake was really nice. The lodges location is great for exploring Cornwall and the beach is not far away. The lodge had everything we needed and anything else we asked for and the lovely reception helped. We asked for the linen to be changed mid stay which they wouldn't normally do but they did and I really appreciated that, when we came back that was done and they had also taken our rubbish. That's above and beyond and makes all the difference. The staff were all pleasant, helpful and friendly.

3 out of 5 stars as the lodge and setting is nice and modern however there is large construction works going on which completely covers your area with dust and sand which is not acceptable really for this type of accommodation. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating which is good with modern facilities throughout. Parking is limited so if you have two cars one will need to go to the overflow car park.
