Services
Gemma is proud to be a 3rd generation Funeral Director. She was born into the profession and worked for her grandfather for a number of years. As a young child she carefully watched and learnt all the different aspects of the job and eventually as she got older she took a more active role, undertaking all the jobs within the funeral profession from washing cars through to arranging and conducting funerals.
We are able to produce both simple order of service booklets in-house, with no minimum numbers, at a very reasonable cost, as well as high quality, full colour bespoke booklets, from a specialist firm. In all cases a full proof is provided for you to approve prior to going to print, and this can be revised as many times as necessary until it is perfect.
All disbursements must be paid upon finalising the funeral arrangements and at least 72 hours prior to the funeral taking place. These are the fees that we pay on your behalf and include but are not limited to Burial or Cremation fees, Minister, Church or Celebrant fees, newspaper notices, stonemason's fees for the removal of a headstone, Order of Service booklets and flowers.
Losing a loved one can be a very emotional time for you and your family, with this in mind we have created 4 set packages to give you an idea of cost, but of course, you may have some ideas that you would like to incorporate into the service which we will be able to arrange for you, please don't hesitate to give us a call to discuss.
All funerals are unique, and whilst one of our packages may be suitable for some, most people will want the freedom to arrange a completely bespoke farewell for their loved ones' funeral. To give you an idea of costs we start with the basic costs and then list some of the additions and extras that you may wish to have.

On the most difficult of days Gemma made sure I was kept informed, showed professional and complete care during our farewell to my wonderful husband and was so knowledgeable and kind. She offered advice on just about everything, and kindly phoned just to see how me and his 14 year old daughter was. Tremendous. Couldn't fault them.

Wonderful funeral directors that actually feel more personal and friendly- not at all daunting Gemma just took us through how things work and ideas and options -NO hard sell - infact it was something me and my sister needed help with as we got a bit overwhelmed as dad had sadly passed and we were tramatised with all the corona rules etc - so in short this was perfect- compasionate and proffessional- even a free councelling number- we are so relieved this was all done so well as now its a nice experience to think about and we know dad was safely looked after and we could take our time to say goodbye

Our dad sadly lost his battle with cancer. Then we had corona to make things worse. We met with Gemma and immediately felt at ease and that we were being helped and supported to chose dads funeral - there was no hard sell at all and we were given plenty of time to chat through what WE WANTED for dad. Cannot thank Gamma enough for her compassion and care in dealing with my Mothers funeral. We as a family were made to feel special and were advised all through the process. This lady is an angel in disguise & she is exactly who you need at the worst time of your life. I entrusted my beloved husband Steve to her & her team who were so respectful & helpful. I will never forget how… everything was there as & when we requested it. The professional way Gemma takes charge & guide though the process every step of the way. I know that when you write a review for a funeral directors then you are most likely grieving. Indeed we are, the whole process of organising a funeral for my father would have been so much harder if it wasn’t for O’Driscoll & daughters.
