An active lifestyle is the key to health and happiness at any age. When injury or accidents happen, causing pain that limits your activities, your lifestyle can change dramatically. Our goal is to develop an individualised treatment plan to help you achieve optimal physical mobility and performance, so enabling you to enjoy life.
Measuring and analysing the biomechanics of your feet and legs as you walk or run on a treadmill. There is a normal posture for feet, knees, hips and back at any point in a walking or running cycle. Video gait analysis enables us to study any abnormal movements of both muscles and joints as the body moves.
We use the RSscan Footscan(R) System to measure pressure distribution of the feet. The footscan(R) systems can record up to 500 frames of data a second, this allows in depth analysis of the pressure and force distribution and their association with the biomechanics of the foot. The system uses small sensors that are 5mm x 7mm, these allow accurate analysis of pressure deviations under all regions of the foot.
An assessment of the mechanics of the human body. Foot Mechanix biomechanical evaluation involves an examination of the entire 'kinetic chain' of your body in which the various angular relationships, ranges of motion and dynamic interactions are carefully measured and recorded. Podiatric Biomechanics deals specifically with the structure and function of the segments of the feet as they relate to each other and to the legs, hips and spine.

Very happy to have resolved a long-standing achilles injury with Karen's help. I was slightly sceptical about shockwave therapy, but just four treatments and the pain has gone completely - it is absolutely WONDERFUL to be able to walk normally again after nearly a year of pain and limping. Karen is lovely - professional, thorough, and extremely skilled. Highly recommended.

Fantastic, professional clinic, most welcoming to my daughter ( we have been coming since she was 6, now 10) always put her at ease and made appointments fun. Great results seen in pain reduction and strength since using the orthotics. Karen is very skilled and very kind, l would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Made to feel most unwelcome with my 5 year old & twin toddlers in a double stroller (had been advised when I booked that it was okay to bring the buggy) but there was a big step and narrow doorways - too narrow for a standard wheelchair.
Seems strange that FMX are running an offer specially for under 12s as children clearly irritated Karen (scowls… and cross words before we even got started). I suggested that maybe we should leave and she replied that she thought it would be better. Disappointing that a child misses out on getting the help needed from a professional service provider
