Golden Empire Restaurant

Literally just thrown up everywhere after one taste of juice, this place needs to be shut down, the juice was jellfied and the entire curry smelt off on closer inspection the chicken was off before they cooked it, please don't waste your money as this is not edible and they won't refund, I've called 8 times and the lady kept putting the phone down on me then so did the man, I didn't realise they only had 2 stars, I fill so I'll 🤮🤮🤮 ill up load the pictures if they let me

Food was terrible dont get sweet and sour chicken its pigeon not chicken avoid avoidd waste of moneh

My last order was absolutely disgusting! Such a let down. You used to be fantastic, what has happened? You wouldn't even answer the phone when I called, which is always a bad sign. Stay away people.

MOULDY FOOD!!! Avoid, avoid avoid! I ordered duck pancakes and when I received my order the duck was DEFINITELY NOT FRESH and as soon as I opened the pancaked they were all MOULDY!!! I called the restaurant to let them know and after debating with them that the pancakes were in fact mouldy the only solution they offered was a replacement which took an additional 45 minutes to arrive! WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE AVOIDING!

That was the worst ribs we have ever ate.I usually don’t write reviews but here I couldn’t not to. I have ordered 2x salt and spicy ribs as we use to order it from the other restaurant, which is unfortunately closed on Tuesdays and this one here was like half less then the other one and the price so expensive plus not much meat, most bones ;/ will never order it from here again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Ordered via Just Eat on 26th March 2021. Delivery half an hour late. Ordered pork belly. No meat, just rind and it was all swimming in grease. Totally inedible. Had to throw away. Don't order from here.

Terrible experience ever!
What a total waste of money? We ordered worth £30 of food but they all tasted so stale. I had never complained about food in my whole life and I so much hate chucking food away but this one had to go straight into the bin right after we tried a spoon each. It was that bad! I called them to ask why the food was so bad? The lady on the phone totally denied and did not even try to make any effort to make our experience better. Our evening dinner was totally ruined😒 Please avoid if you can.

Ordered 5 dishes for delivery, 3 of them were OK but nothing special but the two salt and pepper squids were probably the worst that I have gotten the last 15 years from any Chinese restaurant. Very dry and hard. My 9 and 7 year old children could not even eat them as they were soooo hard. If you order anything from there that is a dish that should definitely be avoided.

Went here with a friend the other week and one of the waitresses helped us out a lot when it came to some gluten intolerances and such, as well as having a nice conversation. The food was really nice and tasty too! Would definitely come back. Surprised by the overall low review of the place.

Delicious food
I have been to Golden Empire a few times with my family. We are always impressed by the lovely food & friendly efficient staff.
Lily she is outstanding her customers service skills, menu recommendations her friendly persona is so warming.
Their menu has a great choice of tasty dishes which we never tire of trying as they are always delicious & served promptly.
Thank you Lily for allowing us to celebrate my mums 88 Birthday today.

I really liked this place, the food was good and so was the service. There is a huge variety of dishes (a lot of vegetarians options).
The decor is a little poor but they also do delivery. Prices are around 6 per main dish.

I would not recommend this place even to my enemies!!!!

Dim Sum was reheated from God knows when. The seafood chow mien was saltier than the dead sea. The rice was not fresh and service has an i-dint-care attitude. I can go on all day but just not worth my while
