Ken Hammond was born in Surrey in 1948 and is a self-taught artist. Ken's love of the coastal scenes and old ships have brought him to the South Coast where he now lives. As a child, Ken spent holidays with his uncle who was a fisherman on the River Fowey in Cornwall. This is where the influence for the estuary and harbour scenes in Ken Hammond's paintings has come from.
John Horsewell was born in London in 1956. John has been painting for over thirty years and has built a fine reputation during that time. His father, Ron Horsewell, has been a professional artist for over thirty years and John has naturally followed in his footsteps. John Horsewell started painting professionally after studying art at college and his style seemed at first to be similar to that of his father.
Her compositions are made up of acrylic, heavy paste work and mixed media. She loves to create tableaux of life in a community, where each time you look you find yet another character up to mischief, with adults, children and animals constantly upstaging each other! Street parties, parades & summer strolls evoke a cheerful nostalgia for bygone days!

Amazing....I made an enquiry on Sunday and received a response that day which I was not expecting. I spoke to Roy on Monday and by Wednesday (today) my beautiful Rozanne Bell painting is hanging on the wall.
Thank you so much Roy for your fabulous help and the fantastic service...I am saving up for more and will be in touch. Tina (ps, you were right, it took me nearly 30 mins to get through all the packaging but was worth it; all is perfect). :-)

Very helpful indeed in selecting a couple of original paintings. There was some damage on one of the frames, and we were assured that within the price agreed the picture would be re-framed. Well packaged when we collected the re-framed picture the following week. Got it home to find it re-framed to such a level of quality and care that even the dents and scratches from the original frame were perfectly re-created and indistinguishable from the original! Not impressed...

Courtenay's Fine Art is located in a classical picturesque arcade within Westborne. This gallery is a must if you are visiting Westborne.
I've been to Westborne three times and two of them I found myself drawn to Courtenay's. The gallery itself has a vibrant array of colourful pieces by a variety of artists. It's guaranteed to make anyone's rainey day seem brighter and who knows you may fall in love and take one home.
