Purbeck New Wave Gallery
We are an art gallery, artist owned, artist staffed, selling high quality work on behalf of local established and emerging artists. We have strong ties with the Swanage and Purbeck art community. Our gallery owner is artist Gina Marshall. Painter and fabric designer Nicky Stockley is our gallery assistant and student artist Ed Marriott is our part - time shop assistant.

That's what makes us special; you will always find one of our gallery artists working behind the counter, often demonstrating their creative process. We sell quality artwork made by artists with a connection to Dorset. These include original paintings, drawings, prints, glassware and ceramics plus cushions and lampshades produced and designed by our artists.
Services
Gina is an artist from Weymouth but now lives in Swanage. She retired from working as a doctor in psychiatry in 2003 due to ill health. In 2013 she began drawing and painting, making great progress over a period of 6 months of 1:1 tuition. During the 1:1 tuition she dabbled with ink, and loving the vivid colours, used it on watercolour paper both painting and drawing with ink on this surface.
For Nicky, drawing is a method of problem solving as well as generating concepts and ideas, it gives her a freedom to work fluently and originally. Drawing underpins every illustrative project she undertakes. With a BA in Fine Art and an MA in illustration, her practice has a balance between traditional and digital mediums and styles making her versatile in today's competitive industry whilst maintaining her artistic voice.
Gill is a Dorset artist and children's book author and illustrator. Her paintings are in watercolours with pen and ink. Most of her life she has been lucky enough to have lived in Dorset and cannot remember when wildlife did not fascinate her. Her work has been influenced by the beauty of the natural environment.
Juliet is an artist based in Dorset and Buckinghamshire. After gaining a BA hons in Fine Art from Surrey Institute of Art and Design, she became a painter, art teacher and mother to three children. Inspired by the Purbeck coastline, and particularly Swanage, her work seeks to capture the area in both abstract and representational ways.

The Purbeck New Wave Gallery is filled with beautiful, carefully created art. The colours and quality call out to you from the pavement. Paintings, ceramics, drawings and silk scarves are some of the delights. Art to suit all budgets. Thanks to Gina Marshall for her vision and creativity to develope this gallery.

This Gallery has the most beautiful selection of art, and you can always expect a first class service. I had bought various pieces from the Gallery when visiting Swanage last year. Having recently moved house, I was looking for further pictures, and despite lockdown, I was able to purchase a fabulous piece, which arrived in the post just a few days later. I had emailed Gina with some questions about various pictures before making my choice, and the service I received was fist class! I can't wait until I am able to visit in person again, and no doubt succumb to temptation, and add to my collection
