The Physio Room Within Asporta Brighton Health & Racket Club
At The Physio Rooms our goals are your goals - we always tailor our treatment to what you want to achieve. Sports injuries are a common and frustrating problem for athletes, often resulting in long periods away from the sport they love. Runner's Knee - Runners Knee is the common and broad term to describe any one of the several conditions which affects the muscles around your patella (knee).

It it called Runner's Knee as in the majority of cases it does affect runners - it can affect anyone from beginners to advanced runners. There is no doubt that the human body can be very resilient. Short of regenerating new limbs, our bodies are capable of recovering from large amounts of damage, including broken bones.
Services
At The Physio Rooms our goals are your goals - we always tailor our treatment to what you want to achieve. Whether your aim is to reduce pain, increase your range of motion and mobility (to enable pain free daily living) or perhaps to achieve a personal best at your chosen sport we can help. Our skilled therapists look for the cause of any problems you have rather than just treating symptoms.
Whether you have a new injury or a longstanding ache or pain our trained physiotherapists will work with you to both treat the ailment and give you the support and advice to help prevent future damage. Our physiotherapists are trained to use exercise to help you decrease your pain, improve your overall mobility, strength and flexibility.
Participating in regular exercise or sport can improve fitness and mood and is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. However, along with the benefit of exercise comes the increased risk of injury. Sports injuries (including tennis elbow, runner's knee and shin splints) are most commonly caused by direct impact, overuse or from having more force applied to a body part than it can handle.
If you have back pain which is reducing your quality of life and has not improved in the past two weeks, we recommend seeing one of our physiotherapists. Our team of qualified physiotherapists use a combination of therapeutic approaches as well as providing you with exercises you can do at home to aid in your improvement and recovery.
If you have shoulder pain which is reducing your quality of life and has not improved in the past two weeks, we recommend seeing one of our trained physiotherapists. Our team of qualified physiotherapists can help to address and counter several of the causes of shoulder pain.

With a combination of joint mobilisation, massage and a tailored set of at-home exercises our team can help you reduce pain and regain a larger range of motion in your shoulder. The shoulder is the most mobile joint in your body so taking good care of it is paramount. The rotator cuff refers to the small group of muscles that control the movement of the shoulder's ball and socket joint.

I've had a few sessions with Alex at the Tunbridge Wells Physio Rooms now. I've had a recurrent ankle injury that just wouldn't come right. After just a few weeks I'm already seeing increased strength and comfort in my ankle, so progress has been great.
His advice has been clear and his rehab exercises easy to fit into your daily routine. To top it all off, Alex is great with clients - really personable and approachable. Recommend!

Mike has seen my daughter Emily over the years and I couldn't recommend him enough! He is not only excellent at treating injuries, but preventing them too. Thanks Mike!
