The Old Star was an 18th century coaching inn, and is now a family run bed and breakfast. With oak beams and log fire in the lounge this characterful, reasonably priced en suite accommodation has uninterrupted views across Wensleydale. The Old Star is the perfect base for walking, cycling or touring in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Grounds include a secluded walled cottage garden where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine, read a book or just enjoy the lovely view. West Witton is a village of great antiquity and was recorded in the Domesday Book. On one side it is dominated by Pen Hill while to the other a lane winds down to the unspoilt river Ure.

Nice clean room with a comfortable bed, en suite and the necessary amenities. Its situated just a few doors down from the local pub, the Fox and Hound, which serves nice food and has a friendly atmosphere.
There's also plenty of distance to cover for avid walkers.
Breakfast is offered at a flexible time by the owners, wgich is great if you're planning on a lie in.
