Q:Can I use a foreign licence to take compulsory basic training? A:No. You must either obtain a UK provisional, or, if you hold an EU licence, obtain a UK counterpart licence. Q:What is compulsory basic training (CBT)? A:CBT is a course of basic motorcycle training which must be completed before a learner moped or motorcycle rider is allowed to ride unaccompanied on the road with L-plates.
These official online practice theory test questions cover a variety of topics relating to road safety. As in the real test, these tests use a mix of 50 questions drawn from all sections of the question bank to test your knowledge. This test allows you to test your understanding of the Highway Code, Know Your Traffic Signs and the Essential Skills series of books.

Wow. What an experience from the moment of completing my Cbt I knew lambs was the place too be. No question too daft everything explained throughly. I completed my Cbt in September.
In October I rang to book in for my DAS.
Today I passed my Mod 2. In total CBT to full license in 6 days. Thank you again to Pete,Stu, Rob and Helen for all your knowledge and advise.

Did my CBT on 23rd September and I genuinely cannot rate these guys high enough.
Friendly and welcoming, as an absolute novice I was given as much support as required and the course was paced perfectly to make sure I was able to get through.
I left feeling absolutely amazing and happy in the knowledge I'd been given more than enough training to get out on the roads myself. If you're considering riding a bike I would say two things
1) do it!
2) visit Lambs to complete your CBT!

Fantastic experience. I did my Cbt here a few months ago, and decided to come back to do my full 'big bike' licence. Passed both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 last week, thanks to Stu's brilliant tuition. It's only a small team, but everyone I met were super friendly and helpful, and made the whole process really easy. I highly recommend this place, and they worked out quite a lot cheaper than my local school 👍

Couldn't possibly be in better hands - very friendly and skilled instructors. Spent a week with these guys, around 4 hours a day and it never felt too intense.
Had Stewart as my instructor for 5 out of 6 days and can't think of anything that could've been done better than it was. Instructions were always clear, I was never left wondering what was coming up next and all feedback was clear and easy to follow. Had Peter as an instructor for the last day, who was also great and gave a couple pointers on general riding improvements (maybe not critical for Mod 1/2 but still valuable and much appreciated

I have just completed my CBT with Lambs and i had a very good day learning all the basics with them. The Instructor (Rob) was very reassuring and gave me plenty of tips and advice to improve my riding skills.
Going to be taking additional lessons to gain my full bike licence with lambs over the next month or so.

I have done both CBT and DAS with Lambs and would like to say they are the best motorcycle training company around. All dealings have been great and I’d like to thank Stuart and Pete for their training and professionalism and also Helen in the office for going beyond to help when there was an issue with one of my tests. I’d highly recommend Lambs. If you do your training with them you are in very good hands. Brilliant.!!!!!!!
