The one way system around the Museum has been removed. We are retaining Track & Trace and the NHS QR code for those who wish to use it. We encourage our visitors and volunteers to wear face masks and observe social distancing, respecting the safety of others. Our fun-filled Early Years sessions are for children under 5 and their parents and carers. Held fortnightly during term time our sessions have a relaxed atmosphere where children can listen to a story and enjoy a craft activity. We offer structured and tailored nursery school visits as well as outreach sessions available to local nursery schools and toddler groups unable to visit the Museum.

I love this place- it’s weird and wonderful and on our last visit the curator took such special care to engage my 2 and 4 year old. While I tried to contain them he embraced their desire to write on everything and be royal pains and talked through their favourite pictures. It wasn’t the cold, stuffy, child unfriendly experiences I recall as a kid and that turned me off such places, but rather warm, inclusive and fun! Great work! ❤️
