Bognor Regis Museum
Find out more of the history of early Bognor, when Sir Richard Hotham set about transforming a small fishing village into a fashionable seaside resort. Almost every aspect of Bognor's history is represented, from rocks and fossils millions of years old, to before the town was founded through to the present day.

With around 10,000 visitors a year, the Museum is a popular attraction. Exhibits include displays of vintage cameras, fossils, an Edwardian kitchen and the story of Bathing Machine Proprietor Mary Wheatland. The Ron Simpson Wireless Collection is named after a former Curator with a passion for old radios who bequeathed his own extensive collection to the Museum.
Services
Send us your photographs of Bognor Regis! We are not just interested in the distant history of Bognor Regis, we are also very interested in it's more recent history! We would love you to send us some suitable pictures of Bognor Regis that we can keep in our archive for future generations to enjoy. We prefer high resolution images in jpeg format and the gallery below shows some of those already sent to us.
We are sorry not to be welcoming you in person yet to the Museum this season. However, the aims of the Society include to advance the education of the public by the study of the history and archaeology of Bognor Regis and district, so just because we can't open our doors to you or hold our monthly talks, we are keen to continue to meet our objectives in a different way.
Bognor Regis Museum has now reopened for the 2021 season. It will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (+Bank Holiday Mondays) 10am to 4pm. Whilst this is somewhat less days than previous, given that the Museum is staffed entirely by volunteers, we are incredibly grateful for them to give up their time for the enjoyment of our visitors.

Small museum but I loved it! The volunteers were friendly and went out of their way to help me navigate in the town. Even though the entry was free I felt that they deserved my small donation of a couple of pounds :)
