Glasgow Association For Mental Health
GAMH is an independent charity registered in Scotland. We promote the mental health and wellbeing of people and their communities; providing more than 2000 hours of community based support every week to people in Glasgow. GAMH is registered by the Care Inspectorate and we receive high scores at inspection.

Our current services are preventative and purposeful in nature and increase the factors known to protect and promote good mental health. We recognise the need to maintain and develop strong community partnerships with all GAMH stakeholders and the importance of having a focus and commitment to the wider mental health and recovery networks.
Services
Glasgow Association for Mental Health (GAMH) is an independent Scottish charity that provides more than 2000 hours of community based support every week to people in Glasgow. The services and opportunities we offer help people who are recovering from mental health problems to live the lives that THEY want to live.
GAMH provides services and opportunities to promote good mental health and wellbeing. Our feedback shows that people who chose to be supported by us often experience positive outcomes which are sustainable and life enhancing, both for the supported person and often for their carers and family. I have been able to value, respect and build my self-esteem through my support twice each week.
Mental health problems affect at least 1 in 4 of all people living in Scotland. GAMH has 30 years of experience working with and supporting people who experience mental health problems and their carers.

We recognise that poor mental health and wellbeing can arise from various life challenges including chronic illness, a long term physical disability and changes in your personal circumstances such as bereavement, family breakdowns and isolation as you grow older. Our support will assist you to feel more confident to deal with these issues and help you to rebuild and protect your mental health and wellbeing.
GAMH Lived Experience Training is a unique service providing training which engages your people in thinking, learning and change. Our courses are delivered by professionals and trainers who bring the powerful and authentic voice of people with personal experience of mental health issues and recovery.
We are extremely grateful to the huge number of people expressing an interest in potentially volunteering with ourselves throughout the pandemic. It has been truly humbling to see the kindness and compassion directed to those less fortunate in these difficult and trying times.

Since the start of the pandemic we took the difficult, but necessary decision to postpone our volunteering program but as restrictions are now beginning to lift, we are looking to re-launch our volunteering program over the summer.Initially we will operate a much smaller volunteer service but are hopeful that towards the end of the year we will be able to expand this and provide more opportunities for people to apply for.

Worst place l've EVER worked! Was an Admin Worker, & my 'Manager' Shelley would check up on me constantly throughout the day! I ended up saying had l ever not finished any task l was given? - must say didn't do my mental health or confidence any favours! Left to become a Support Worker elsewhere! Would never recommend this place to anyone! 👎

Ad like to say that the staff that work hear are rude and very unhelpful when it comes to making a complaint I myself have had to invole the police as one of the workers (Tracy) and the manager (Alison) who won't give there second names to get a report into sssc for breaching a data protection matter talking about a an up coming high profile court case with there service users to whom sent me messages clearly stateing that there worker (Tracy) had told them about I will be going to the papers and making sure everyone involved is giving there marching orderes and never works in the care sector again
