Savour the friendly atmosphere, good food and company. And at the end of the day, enjoy the stunning views from the balcony of our Clubhouse, recalling your experience of the best inland sailing in the UK. Our sailing school specialises in dinghy and catamaran sailing and we are able to offer the best possible training and instruction.

The professional staff, trained by the Royal Yachting Association offer everything from introductory sessions to personal tuition sessions in your own boat. We use a variety or boats from Fusion, Laser, Topper and RS, to offer the best possible boats for our clients. Whatever your ability we have something for you.
Services
We are a sailing centre of excellence for training and development and endorsed by the RYA as a National Sailing Academy. Savour the friendly atmosphere, good food and company. And at the end of the day, enjoy the stunning views from the balcony of our Clubhouse, recalling your experience from the day.
The 10,000 square foot clubhouse provides first rate changing facilities. With a comfortable clubroom, bar, function rooms, training and meeting rooms suitable for corporate events. The balconies provide outstanding views over the lake and the wet bar caters for the sailor's creature comforts. The full bar and catering facilities are available with a full range of food and beverages including draught beer.
We aim to be as inclusive as possible and put on activities for all levels. If you just want to practice and improve you can join in some of the Club Pro activities, perfect if you aren't a member or don't have a boat. If you can sail already and would like to practice more or start to race you can join Junior Racing - see below.
Learn to Teach/ Coach sessions are designed for any Sailors or Parents who are looking to help others get afloat, you would need to be able to sail a dinghy to take part. Try Racing / Race coaching sessions are designed for all sailors who can sail upwind and downwind, with the focus on learning to race from a basic starting point.
Planning an Open Meeting, Championship or Class Training Event? Look no further! Rutland Water is ideal for advanced competitive sailing the courses can be challenging. A venue where those seeking to gain extra speed or develop tactical skills can practise to their heart's content and then trounce the opposition!

Very disappointed by the lack of catering for a recent, recurrent annual event. Despite knowing numbers attending from pre-entry and additional cost for on the day entry, galley and bar closed by 6pm on Saturday evening! Thank goodness for the local pub/s.

Spent the day there on a training exercise for the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI). All the people I met were friendly and informative, very wheelchair friendly, plenty of ramps, 2 disabled toilets in the clubhouse and very impressed with them having a lift to the upper level.
The food from the restaurant part, looked good and tasted even better. Already looking forward to next year's training day!

Great club in pleasant surroundings. Be careful if you take your bicycles though, we had 2 stolen overnight while attending a sailing event. They were chained up securely to a heavy trailer.
