Just spent a week at Oakmere Caravan Park, the welcome was great, the fishing was fab, great for dog walks and just good all round. I will be going back in September for the Fishing Competition it is a competition for Cancer a very good cause. It is the first time I have been and it will not be the last.

Oakmere Caravan Park was established in 1997, the fishery a few years earlier. Created and run by the Patrick family, the park has grown over the years yet still has a number of residents who have stayed from the first day of opening. The caravan park is within the land of Skipwith nature reserve a beautiful, leafy setting filled with wildlife and peaceful scenery.
A well drained, grass pitch site, set amongst mature trees and planting, catering for up to 50 caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. All pitches include electric hook up and access to a nearby water point. Set in the midst of our working arable farm this is an idyllic, peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life but close enough to the lovely City of York to indulge in some urban pleasures of shopping, restaurants and sight-seeing.
A rural, leafy pleasure fishery offering fishing opportunities for all ages and abilities. We don't offer regular organised matches however, speak with our lake steward if you want to get together as a group and organise a bit of healthy competition, we will certainly try to accommodate you when it isn't too busy.

Stayed here in mid June and by good fortune got the most glorious weather. We have friends on a seasonal pitch on site and had a great reunion, this is a terrific little place, nice clean facilities plenty of water and electric points and manicured lawns, very quiet and peaceful. I can’t speak for the fishing as I don’t fish but we are definitely planning to return soon.
