Records begin with the Club's formation in 1895, moving to our present location in 1912 when the Sixth Duke of Portland granted the lease of a portion of his Welbeck Estate for the pursuance of the game of golf. Only four years later we record courtesy of the course being granted to Officers of the Scottish Highland Infantry Regiments in trench warfare training camps adjacent to the twelfth tee.

Sherwood is on its way back!! The greens are looking better and the fairways are coming in!! The best I’ve seen the course in past 5 years. Will be going more often if they keep it up. Anyways the course plays tougher than majority of Fresno courses because of how many fairways play tight with so many trees! I always love playing the course and having the opportunity to think around the course: Don’t underestimate the toughness of this layout it will make you pay!

Facility is very good. Some of the staff are very nice. One of them are absolutely rude. Good luck on which one you get...
As an update, I played the course last fall and the staff was better. The food was great as always. The greens needed a lot of work though. As a whole, a good valley golf experience.
