This historical parkland was the former hunting land for the medieval Castle that adjoins the course. The present golf course is the third incarnation on this site since the original Golf Club was established in 1896. The current course was designed by the three times open champion Sir Henry Cotton for the use of the local community in 1964 and opened for play in 1966.
The deer still visit the Club at different times as can be seen in this picture, whether they are safer these days or not is hard to tell. An ideal course which is short enough to learn on but challenging enough for the more experienced golfer.

Services
It's amazing how easy it is to to injur others on the course. One local club had an incident where a Member lost an eye. How many of us have seen accidents or received near misses. It is now acknowledged that in Court the emphasis is on the players type of playing. If a case is bought you could be sued for a huge amount if you don't have Insurance this will protect you.
We cater for a wide variety of competitive golf, both during the week as well as weekends. Currently, we host a Senior Golfers 9 hole Stableford Roll up every Tuesday at 1.30. This event is open to all, members as well as non-members, as long as you have a handicap. Saturdays at 9.00 the regular club competition takes place, which is open to members only.
The Park Caf is situated in a 130 hectares (nearly 200 acres) of beautiful parkland. The views over the golf course are stunning. Although the cafe is part of the Golf Club, it is open to all park users throughout the year. The Caf is licensed and offers freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, a selection of teas, as well as cold drinks and a small selection of bottled beers, wines and spirits.

Love visiting this cafe while out on my Farnham Park dog walks. I always keep some loose change with me so I can visit to get my mug of tea for £1. I think my dog could find his own way here - may be something to do with the two dog biscuits he's given when I buy my tea! Lots of cakes, snacks, meals, smoothies and ice-cream available as well as tea, coffees and cold drinks. If you love bread pudding then Wendy's homemade one will fill you up nicely.

First experience here whist taking the kids to the play park whist combining a dog walk.
Very friendly staff and the food was especially good for the price.
Nothing to be blown away by but good, hearty normal food with a good variety.
4 meals with 4 drinks coming to £25
Dog friendly too which is always a bonus! 🐾
