Voltage Studios

The studio offers a choice of analogue and/or digital multitrack recording, with various PC based programs for simultaneous input recording, midi sequencing and mastering. The control room is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating positioned behind the engineer's work space.

There are four recording areas, two have flexible acoustic options from lively, to almost dead, by the use of baffles & screens, the third is a vocal isolation booth.The fourth being the gallery behind the engineer's work space. This means 'live' recordings can achieve excellent separation and audio quality, even at high backline volumes.

Voltage has seven purpose-built, soundproofed rehearsal rooms, all ground-floor, with easy access and loading. All rooms are carpeted, fitted with extractor fans and have an average area of around 240 square feet. Equipment hire includes various vocal PA systems, Yamaha and Premier drumkits and Marshall backline for guitar and bass.

We have 12 individual storage rooms available, as well as two communal storage areas. Storage is charged in advance at 25 per calendar month for communal rooms. Individual storage is 30 per calendar month (charged in advance) or 5 per week for short-term storage. Individual store rooms have an average area of 45 square feet.

We have a compact concert P.A. system, suitable for large pubs and small music venues. Soundcraft EPM 12, 16 channel mixer, t-Amp 800 driving one pair of Mackie C300z 12" speakers and one pair of 1x15" bass bins, Alesis Microverb 2. Shure SM58'S, Beyer M300'S, AKG C418's, AKG D110. Stage lighting available on request.

We offer a professional quality photographic service for bands and solo artists. We can do live concert shoots or promo shoots on location, or in our dedicated photo/video studio. The studio is around 1000 square feet, with options of white or black backgrounds or green-screen. The room is equipped with stage lighting and studio lighting with flexible options.
