Dry eye syndrome is a common problem which results from either poor quality tears or reduced tear production. The normal function of tears is to lubricate the surface of the eye. Dry eye means the tears evaporate more quickly leaving the front surface of the eye exposed, subsequently leading to dryness.
The MPOD is a device which analyses the macular pigment optical density contained within the centre of the retina. Macular pigment is a yellow pigmented substance which helps protect the retina from the harmful effects of blue light and also helps the retina maintain healthy function through its anti-oxidant properties.

A Family run-business. Very friendly and patient. They really do listen to your needs and listen to what you want and need in lenses and what you prefer to wear. They have every machine you need for specific eyes test and X-rays images. Genuine and worth the money! They really do look after you and your eyes to make sure you get the best quality of glasses, so that you enjoy a better quality of life!
Always went to this Opticians as a family, all of us together, me and my 3 brothers, when we were children and my mother as well, and we will continue to use Colin Beeson's Opticians in the future
