Services
Herts Bowling Club is a club with two sections, indoor and outdoor. The premises are owned and the business managed by The Herts Bowling Club Limited, a company limited by guarantee since 1932. The Club was founded in 1912, eleven years before the County Association was formed. The indoor and outdoor sections manage the bowling activities through their own committees.
Roger Taylor heads our Premises Committee which consists of several members and covers the Indoor and Outdoor facilities. They check the premises regularly for any repairs or maintenance that may be required. The Club continually tries to improve the amenities to the appropriate standard. Roger Taylor deals with all Health and Safety issues.
Herts Bowls Club is an ideal method of enhancing the awareness of your business and its products and/or services within the local community and surrounding areas. The club is situated in Bellmount Wood Avenue, adjacent Fullers Rugby Football Club and The Sun Postal Sports Club and nearby Grove Hotel in North East Watford.
Although there are several different games that use the generic term of "Bowls" or "Boules", such as Petanque (Petanque is also commonly called Boules), Boccia, Short Mat Bowls and Crown Bowls, here at the Herts Bowling Club we participate in Lawn Bowls or Green Bowls, which has its own set of rules, governing bodies and equipment required to play the game.
