We've been running Poynings Cattery for a fantastic 29 years now and are really proud to announce that we have recently been awarded a 5-star rating from our local council for our premises.

Recently awarded 5-stars for our premises, we are family run and have been established for more than 29 years. We pride ourselves on offering a warm, clean, comfortable and friendly service for your cat - a home away from home! You can be sure that your cat is in very good hands with us, and will have as good a holiday as you will!
Our rates are inclusive of high quality food (please supply your cat's normal food, especially prescription diets, if it differs from what we offer), heating, cat litter, scratch poles, toys and cuddles! Only cats from the same family can share - please advise us if you have more than one cat but wish them to be boarded separately.
Your cat must be fully vaccinated before their stay at Poynings Cat Boarding Hotel. We will require your cats vaccination certificate to be brought with them and remain with us for the duration of their stay. Cats should be treated for worms and fleas 2 days before their stay with us, this will ensure they are covered for the duration of their stay.
Thank you so much for your tremendous care of Spartacus and Percy for the past four months. They have left your cattery as contented as they entered and so been able to adjust quickly and smoothly to our new home. They already have investigated every corner of the house and are enjoying the back garden too.

As we came to collect our cat after a fortnight we were met by an overpowering smell of urine. I realised that our cat had used her cat carrier as a toilet. The carrier was left open in the pen by the staff. This must have occurred for some time since the mattress in her carrier was totally saturated. The owner responded by hosing the cat carrier down and placing her mattress pad in a dustbin bag for us to take home, with not even an apology . I feel this was very neglectful, the stench was very noticeable. Needless to say we will not be using the cattery again.
