Services
Camping Pods are timber-built, insulated wooden huts specially designed to be used like a tent with the advantage of it being already being set up on the site, ready for your arrival and use. Each pod has plenty of headroom and a floor area of approx 8 metres square, our standard pods have ample space for 2 people (or even 2 adults and 1 small child).
With panoramic views of the surrounding fells, we have a level, sheltered caravan and camping park with well-cared grounds run to a high standard. There are both grass and hard-standing pitches, each with electric hook-ups (included in caravan tariff). We have a modern, spacious and well-maintained shower, toilet and laundry block on site and there is a small shop from which you can get milk, bread and farm fresh eggs etc.

The farmhouse features a spacious oak beamed sitting room and warming wood burning stove, a modern, well equipped kitchen, a 'snug' room also with a woodburing stove, a large dining room, and four beautiful bedrooms, all with delightful en-suite facilties.Outside there is a mature garden ideal for sitting out after a long day enjoying the beauty of the lakes and fells.

Ullswater is within a five-minute drive from Gill Head with excellent walking along the lakeshore or on the fell tops, great places to eat, horse riding, fishing and watersports. Gill Head is a working hill farm and offers a peaceful location within the beautiful Lake District. Lake Ullswater is only 5 miles away and the nearest town is the traditional market town of Keswick sitting on the shores of Derwentwater. The popular resorts of Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere are each within a short scenic drive.
