P J S Mouldings

Following an Engineering Honours degree in Production engineering, Philip joined his father's patternmaking business and gained an insight into the running of an SME. Keen to pursue a more production based enterprise he formed PJS Mouldings. Having specialised in Rapid Prototyping & Polymers in his final year at university, injection moulding was an ideal route into the production industry.

PJS Mouldings is one of the leading Midlands/UK based injection mould companies that run a 24 hour, 5 day shift pattern. All machines have their own ancillary equipment including dryers, hopper loaders and water heaters. Master batched additives and self coloured compounds are used to suit customer requirements.

PJS Mouldings performs a range of additional assembly operations; manufacturing assemblies involving one or more of our injection mouldings. These can range from the simple addition of metal inserts, to reinforce fixing points, to complex multi-component assemblies - provided as sub-components for further assembly when they reach our customers.

It is essential that we can demonstrate that the complex, functional and close-fit parts that we manufacture are correct to shape, size and form. At the heart of PJS Mouldings' measurement capability is our CMM. A computer-driven Coordinate Measurement Machine run by our skilled Programmer/Operator.

To achieve the highest levels of quality in our products we must prevent errors and defects. This also reduces costs incurred through wasted production time, containment, rework, and increased scrap. A strong focus on quality within PJS has led us to implement processes using Error Proofing and Pokyoke from the initial concept, through process design, to the PPAP.
