The use of powder coating on materials across all industry sectors is now common place and has replaced the need for wet painting in many cases due to its environmental impact, strength and speed of application. A 4-Stage Pretreatment Enclosed unit utilising Iron Phosphate and an Alkaline Pre Wash with Deionised rinse stages.
STP Coatings carry on with our own in house Quality process system which still operates alongside our previous ISO9001 certification. We work to many of our customers own Quality standards for their paintwork. We are also very happy to help in advising or preparing written Paint procedures if required.

Customers can still choose from many derivatives of epoxy, epoxy polyester, polyester coatings to suit the type of surface protection and decorative colour they need.
At STP Coatings we use blast cleaning in readiness for wet painting or powder coating. We carry out most of our work to Swedish standards and the guidelines set out by the paint manufacturers for the specified systems of our customers. Blast cleaning is our preferred treatment of all metal types before coating but we are able to degrease more delicate items prior to coating.
At STP we apply a wide range of paint materials for different industries onto plastics, metals and other items. These paint finishes are used for a range of things be it decoration, aesthetics and most importantly corrosion control and protection. We can apply waterborne and solvent based materials with low, medium and high solid content and apply the rule of best practice across all of our work.

I had 5 steel wheels from a Triumph Stag powder coated here. It is a small outfit and not particularly geared up for enthusiastic customers who are after a quality finish. They seem to be more about bike frames etc. However, they were local to me. The finish wasn't fantastic and the price was a little high, With a little more care I wouldn't have minded the price, but the wheels needed some fettling after stripping which wasn't done. The powder coating emphasised the minor defects on the wheels and now I can't do much about them. Shame because they did a good colour match. Worth considering if
