Marlborough House Nursery School provides care and education for children from 2 to 5 years old. With professional guidance, planning and care, the children are encouraged to explore and broaden their horizons as they play and learn. We promote independence and personal, social and emotional development to prepare them for school and life ahead.
Services
Marlborough House Nursery School consists of two preschool settings in Long Ditton and Thames Ditton, Surrey. It is set on the edge of Long Ditton recreational ground with the use of a dedicated grass area and tarmac area for play.

This is set close to Thames Ditton Infants School and has the use of the main and small hall for additional activities an outside area and use of the facilities at the Infant School which is ideal for help with preparing children for school as the majority of our children from this setting move on to here.
At Marlborough House we want all children to feel safe, stimulated and happy in the absence of their parents. We want the parents to have confidence in both their children's well-being and the care they receive during their time at school. We aim to make Marlborough House a welcoming place where children settle quickly and easily.
Play is a child at work and at Marlborough House we help children learn their letters, numbers and knowledge about the world through these opportunities and by the environment around them being enriched both physically and verbally with language. Children learn through being sociable and having one to one situations to play and enjoy what they are doing.
We will endeavour to work with parents to create the best possible opportunities for the child to succeed to their full potential. We work with children with English as an additional language by supporting the family when settling into the setting and gaining as much knowledge as we can about the child.
Children arrive and play with their friends whilst parents or carers talk to key persons. The children also self register themselves on arrival and this is a job that they can be in charge of, supporting their independence and the fact that they belong in the setting. Play is a wonderful thing and involves all developments that a child should gain and experience.
