Centre for Psychology is a community of professionally qualified staff whose ambition is to promote psychological well-being and reduce psychological distress. We can provide a wide range of psychological interventions across the life span and we engage in research to develop new applied models to meet these aims.
We work with individuals and also with organisations that are seeking to maintain and enhance their psychological well-being. Health Education England fund us to train future generations of highly qualified staff in partnership with the University of Surrey. Within Surrey, the NHS primarily funds CBT which involves identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours in order to change the way we think, feel and act.
